# Pow vs Words By Post

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Words By Post at 69% against Pow's 45%. Words By Post also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.0). Pow's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.1) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 4 months). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Pow holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 193 and 176 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 45% of Pow's written reviews are positive against 69% of Words By Post's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Pow ships an update every 2 months, Words By Post every 4 months. Both last shipped on October 23, 2026.
