# Minesweeper Classic 2 vs Mastermine

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Mastermine at 73% against Minesweeper Classic 2's 37%. Mastermine also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). Minesweeper Classic 2's advantage is ratings volume (7.6K vs 116) and rating (4.6 vs 4.3). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Minesweeper Classic 2 sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Mastermine sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Minesweeper Classic 2 holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Minesweeper Classic 2 has 7.6K ratings behind it against 116, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 37% of Minesweeper Classic 2's written reviews are positive against 73% of Mastermine's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Minesweeper Classic 2 ships an update every 2 months, Mastermine every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
