# Yonhap News vs YTN

The clearest difference is rating: YTN at 3.0 against Yonhap News's 1.7. YTN also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

YTN holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 1.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 6 and 12 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 46% of Yonhap News's written reviews are positive against 39% of YTN's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Yonhap News ships an update every 5 months, YTN every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
