# SPIE Conferences vs IGARSS

The clearest difference is update cadence: SPIE Conferences at every 3 weeks against IGARSS's every 6 weeks. IGARSS's advantage is iOS requirement (10.0 vs 14.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SPIE Conferences ships an update every 3 weeks, IGARSS every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
