# V1 Golf vs Rypstick

The clearest difference is rating: Rypstick at 4.7 against V1 Golf's 4.1. Rypstick also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). V1 Golf's advantage is review sentiment (68% vs 41%) and chart position (#154 vs unranked). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. V1 Golf sells 23 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Rypstick sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $49.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Rypstick holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1.9K and 1.9K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 68% of V1 Golf's written reviews are positive against 41% of Rypstick's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
