# 東網 vs Yahoo新聞

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Yahoo新聞 at none against 東網's 2. Yahoo新聞 also leads on rating (4.1 vs 3.6). 東網's advantage is iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 東網 sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Yahoo新聞 asks for nothing beyond the download.

Yahoo新聞 holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 96 and 61 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 20% of 東網's written reviews are positive against 18% of Yahoo新聞's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
