# World Map Pro Edition vs Merriam

World Map Pro Edition and Merriam both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 82% of Merriam's written reviews are positive against 37% of World Map Pro Edition's. Merriam also leads on ratings volume (22K vs 3.1K) and device support (4 vs 2). World Map Pro Edition's advantage is price ($1.99 vs $9.99). On rating, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

World Map Pro Edition costs $1.99 and Merriam $9.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Merriam holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.7.
