# 微博 vs KOOK语音

The clearest difference is rating: KOOK语音 at 3.7 against 微博's 2.3. KOOK语音 also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). 微博's advantage is ratings volume (7.7K vs 545) and chart position (#136 vs unranked). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 微博 sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and KOOK语音 sells 18 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

KOOK语音 holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 微博 has 7.7K ratings behind it against 545, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 27% of 微博's written reviews are positive against 24% of KOOK语音's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

微博 ships an update weekly, KOOK语音 fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
