# LettuceEats vs Jeni's

The clearest difference is monetization model: Jeni's at free against LettuceEats's free with in-app purchases. LettuceEats's advantage is ratings volume (21K vs 3.5K). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for LettuceEats against 4.9 for Jeni's. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LettuceEats has 21K ratings behind it against 3.5K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 59% of LettuceEats's written reviews are positive against 54% of Jeni's's.

LettuceEats ships an update monthly, Jeni's every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
