# Calculator + vs Scientific Calculator Pro

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Calculator + at 85% against Scientific Calculator Pro's 0%. Calculator + also leads on ratings volume (10K vs 1). Scientific Calculator Pro's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 12) and ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Calculator + sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Scientific Calculator Pro asks for nothing beyond the download.

Scientific Calculator Pro holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Calculator + has 10K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 85% of Calculator +'s written reviews are positive against 0% of Scientific Calculator Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Calculator + ships an update every 5 days, Scientific Calculator Pro every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
