# Calculator + vs Calculator M+

The clearest difference is ads: Calculator M+ at none against Calculator +'s shown. Calculator M+ also leads on device support (4 vs 2) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.4). Calculator +'s advantage is ratings volume (10K vs 110) and update cadence (every 5 days vs fortnightly). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Calculator + sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Calculator M+ sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $6.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Calculator + against 4.5 for Calculator M+. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Calculator + has 10K ratings behind it against 110, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Calculator + ships an update every 5 days, Calculator M+ fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
