# Calculator + vs Calculator‰

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Calculator‰ at none against Calculator +'s 12. Calculator‰ also leads on rating (4.9 vs 4.6) and ratings volume (409K vs 10K). Calculator +'s advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 5 months) and review sentiment (85% vs 70%). On price, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Calculator + sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Calculator‰ asks for nothing beyond the download.

Calculator‰ holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Calculator‰ has 409K ratings behind it against 10K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 85% of Calculator +'s written reviews are positive against 70% of Calculator‰'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Calculator + ships an update every 5 days, Calculator‰ every 5 months. Both last shipped on October 14, 2026.
