# Calculator + vs Degree Calculator

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Degree Calculator at none against Calculator +'s 12. Degree Calculator also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). Calculator +'s advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 26 months) and ratings volume (10K vs 2). On price, review sentiment, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Calculator + sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Degree Calculator asks for nothing beyond the download.

Degree Calculator holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Calculator + has 10K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 85% and 86% positive.

Calculator + ships an update every 5 days, Degree Calculator every 26 months. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
