# Sky vs SkyDemon

The clearest difference is rating: SkyDemon at 4.8 against Sky's 3.0. SkyDemon also leads on ratings volume (546 vs 1) and review sentiment (92% vs 83%). Sky's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sky sells 12 one-off in-app purchases and SkyDemon sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SkyDemon holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SkyDemon has 546 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 83% of Sky's written reviews are positive against 92% of SkyDemon's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
