# StarMap 3D+ Plus vs Star Map Tracker

StarMap 3D+ Plus and Star Map Tracker both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 86% of StarMap 3D+ Plus's written reviews are positive against 29% of Star Map Tracker's. StarMap 3D+ Plus also leads on ratings volume (6.9K vs 1) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 5 months). Star Map Tracker's advantage is price (Free vs $2.99) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.6). On rating, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Star Map Tracker is free to download; StarMap 3D+ Plus costs $2.99 up front. StarMap 3D+ Plus sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Star Map Tracker sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Star Map Tracker holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: StarMap 3D+ Plus has 6.9K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 86% of StarMap 3D+ Plus's written reviews are positive against 29% of Star Map Tracker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

StarMap 3D+ Plus ships an update every 5 weeks, Star Map Tracker every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
