# RealVNC Viewer vs Aitho

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: RealVNC Viewer at none against Aitho's 4. RealVNC Viewer also leads on ratings volume (15K vs 1) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.4). Aitho's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 2 months) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Aitho sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $39.00 per month. RealVNC Viewer asks for nothing beyond the download.

Aitho holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RealVNC Viewer has 15K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

RealVNC Viewer ships an update every 2 months, Aitho every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
