# RealVNC Viewer vs Ultimo Go+

The clearest difference is review sentiment: RealVNC Viewer at 72% against Ultimo Go+'s 20%. RealVNC Viewer also leads on ratings volume (15K vs 3). Ultimo Go+'s advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Ultimo Go+ holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RealVNC Viewer has 15K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 72% of RealVNC Viewer's written reviews are positive against 20% of Ultimo Go+'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
