# EagleView vs J

The clearest difference is rating: EagleView at 4.9 against J's 2.0. EagleView also leads on ratings volume (9.6K vs 3) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 6 months). J's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 65%) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

EagleView holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: EagleView has 9.6K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 65% of EagleView's written reviews are positive against 100% of J's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

EagleView ships an update every 2 months, J every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
