# Cinépolis vs FILU

The clearest difference is review sentiment: FILU at 100% against Cinépolis's 4%. FILU also leads on rating (4.7 vs 1.7) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Cinépolis's advantage is ratings volume (800 vs 3). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

FILU holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 1.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cinépolis has 800 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 4% of Cinépolis's written reviews are positive against 100% of FILU's.

Cinépolis ships an update every 3 weeks, FILU every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and September 21, 2026 respectively.
