# Youdao Dictionary vs 翻译王

Youdao Dictionary and 翻译王 both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of 翻译王's written reviews are positive against 73% of Youdao Dictionary's. 翻译王 also leads on iOS requirement (10.0 vs 14.0). Youdao Dictionary's advantage is ratings volume (18K vs 26) and chart position (#176 vs unranked). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Youdao Dictionary sells 19 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and 翻译王 sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
