# Youdao Dictionary vs AI智能写作

The clearest difference is rating: Youdao Dictionary at 4.7 against AI智能写作's 4.0. Youdao Dictionary also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (18K vs 5). AI智能写作's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 14.0). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Youdao Dictionary sells 19 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and AI智能写作 sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
