# YTN vs MBC 뉴스

The clearest difference is rating: YTN at 3.0 against MBC 뉴스's 2.2. MBC 뉴스's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

YTN holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 2.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 12 and 9 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 39% of YTN's written reviews are positive against 45% of MBC 뉴스's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
