# MIT Mobile vs Eco

The clearest difference is rating: Eco at 5.0 against MIT Mobile's 2.4. Eco also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 70%) and update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 5 months). MIT Mobile's advantage is ratings volume (29 vs 3). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Eco holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MIT Mobile has 29 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 70% of MIT Mobile's written reviews are positive against 100% of Eco's.

MIT Mobile ships an update every 5 months, Eco every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
