# Fingering vs HD

The clearest difference is price: HD at Free against Fingering's $4.99. HD also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and device support (3 vs 1). Fingering's advantage is ratings volume (157 vs 3) and chart position (#182 vs unranked). On update cadence, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

HD is free to download; Fingering costs $4.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

HD holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fingering has 157 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Fingering ships an update every 7 months, HD every 10 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
