# Fingering vs Practice Pet!

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Fingering at none against Practice Pet!'s 6. Fingering also leads on ratings volume (157 vs 13). Practice Pet!'s advantage is update cadence (every 11 days vs every 7 months) and price ($0.99 vs $4.99). On review sentiment, ads, chart position and device support there is nothing between them.

Fingering costs $4.99 and Practice Pet! $0.99 up front. Practice Pet! sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Fingering asks for nothing beyond the download.

Practice Pet! holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fingering has 157 ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 85% of Fingering's written reviews are positive against 83% of Practice Pet!'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Fingering ships an update every 7 months, Practice Pet! every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
