# Passwords Cloud vs *Passwords* Copy to Paste

The clearest difference is monetization model: *Passwords* Copy to Paste at free against Passwords Cloud's free with in-app purchases. *Passwords* Copy to Paste also leads on review sentiment (89% vs 65%). Passwords Cloud's advantage is ratings volume (979 vs 22) and rating (4.7 vs 4.5). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Passwords Cloud sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and *Passwords* Copy to Paste sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Passwords Cloud holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Passwords Cloud has 979 ratings behind it against 22, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 65% of Passwords Cloud's written reviews are positive against 89% of *Passwords* Copy to Paste's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Passwords Cloud ships an update every 5 months, *Passwords* Copy to Paste every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
