# Passwords Cloud vs Secure X

The clearest difference is update cadence: Secure X at monthly against Passwords Cloud's every 5 months. Secure X also leads on review sentiment (77% vs 65%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). Passwords Cloud's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.4) and ratings volume (979 vs 189). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Passwords Cloud sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Secure X sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Passwords Cloud holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Passwords Cloud has 979 ratings behind it against 189, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 65% of Passwords Cloud's written reviews are positive against 77% of Secure X's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Passwords Cloud ships an update every 5 months, Secure X monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
