# Passwords Cloud vs Password Manager ®

The clearest difference is update cadence: Password Manager ® at every 4 weeks against Passwords Cloud's every 5 months. Password Manager ® also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). Passwords Cloud's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.4) and ratings volume (979 vs 76). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Passwords Cloud sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Password Manager ® sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Passwords Cloud holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Passwords Cloud has 979 ratings behind it against 76, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 65% of Passwords Cloud's written reviews are positive against 64% of Password Manager ®'s.

Passwords Cloud ships an update every 5 months, Password Manager ® every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
