# Ultimate Hangman Go vs Microsoft Wordament

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Ultimate Hangman Go at 80% against Microsoft Wordament's 50%. Microsoft Wordament's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (12K vs 234). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ultimate Hangman Go sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Microsoft Wordament sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Microsoft Wordament holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Microsoft Wordament has 12K ratings behind it against 234, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of Ultimate Hangman Go's written reviews are positive against 50% of Microsoft Wordament's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
