# Documents Reader and File Manager Pro vs eFiles

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Documents Reader and File Manager Pro at 68% against eFiles's 25%. Documents Reader and File Manager Pro also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (6.0 vs 15.6). eFiles's advantage is rating (4.3 vs 3.2) and ratings volume (57 vs 14). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Documents Reader and File Manager Pro sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and eFiles sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

eFiles holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 14 and 57 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 68% of Documents Reader and File Manager Pro's written reviews are positive against 25% of eFiles's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
