# 财新 vs Lifeweek HD

The clearest difference is rating: 财新 at 4.6 against Lifeweek HD's 3.4. 财新 also leads on ratings volume (1.2K vs 5) and update cadence (monthly vs every 4 months). Lifeweek HD's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 16) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 14.0). On price, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 财新 sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Lifeweek HD asks for nothing beyond the download.

财新 holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 财新 has 1.2K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 63% and 63% positive.

财新 ships an update monthly, Lifeweek HD every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
