# Planet simulation vs Spaceman

The clearest difference is rating: Spaceman at 5.0 against Planet simulation's 3.9. Spaceman also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 8 months) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 13.0). Planet simulation's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ratings volume (165 vs 3). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Spaceman sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Planet simulation asks for nothing beyond the download.

Spaceman holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Planet simulation has 165 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Planet simulation ships an update every 8 months, Spaceman every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
