# Tunepal vs Trad Buddy

The clearest difference is rating: Trad Buddy at 5.0 against Tunepal's 3.0. Trad Buddy also leads on monetization model (free vs paid) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 2 months). Tunepal's advantage is ratings volume (45 vs 1) and iOS requirement (10.3 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Trad Buddy holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tunepal has 45 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Tunepal ships an update every 2 months, Trad Buddy every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
