# Thermometer vs Netatmo Energy

Thermometer and Netatmo Energy both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 77% of Netatmo Energy's written reviews are positive against 30% of Thermometer's. Netatmo Energy also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ads (none vs shown). Thermometer's advantage is ratings volume (4.2K vs 85) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17). On price, rating, update cadence and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Thermometer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Netatmo Energy asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for Thermometer against 4.5 for Netatmo Energy. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Thermometer has 4.2K ratings behind it against 85, so its average is the more settled of the two.
