# EventLog vs Timestamper

EventLog and Timestamper both sit at 4.2 stars, but that hides the real split: 88% of EventLog's written reviews are positive against 42% of Timestamper's. EventLog also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 6) and iOS requirement (7.0 vs 13.0). Timestamper's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 44 months) and ratings volume (171 vs 6). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Timestamper sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. EventLog asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.2 for EventLog against 4.1 for Timestamper. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Timestamper has 171 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 88% of EventLog's written reviews are positive against 42% of Timestamper's.

EventLog ships an update every 44 months, Timestamper every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
