# Chicks vs Mine Tower

The clearest difference is rating: Mine Tower at 4.3 against Chicks's 3.0. Mine Tower also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1). Chicks's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (62% vs 35%). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Chicks sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Mine Tower asks for nothing beyond the download.

Mine Tower holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Chicks has 87 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 62% of Chicks's written reviews are positive against 35% of Mine Tower's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Chicks ships an update every 2 months, Mine Tower every 10 months. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
