# SecureSafe Password Manager vs Password Manager

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: SecureSafe Password Manager at none against Password Manager's 4. SecureSafe Password Manager also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (20K vs 5). Password Manager's advantage is review sentiment (92% vs 72%). On price, update cadence, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Password Manager sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. SecureSafe Password Manager asks for nothing beyond the download.

SecureSafe Password Manager holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SecureSafe Password Manager has 20K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 72% of SecureSafe Password Manager's written reviews are positive against 92% of Password Manager's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
