# SecureSafe Password Manager vs Password Generator

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: SecureSafe Password Manager at none against Password Generator's 4. SecureSafe Password Manager also leads on ratings volume (20K vs 12) and rating (4.8 vs 4.6). Password Generator's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 72%). On price, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Password Generator sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. SecureSafe Password Manager asks for nothing beyond the download.

SecureSafe Password Manager holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SecureSafe Password Manager has 20K ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 72% of SecureSafe Password Manager's written reviews are positive against 100% of Password Generator's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SecureSafe Password Manager ships an update every 2 months, Password Generator every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
