# SecureSafe Password Manager vs Express Password Manager

The clearest difference is rating: SecureSafe Password Manager at 4.8 against Express Password Manager's 1.0. SecureSafe Password Manager also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ads (none vs shown). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Express Password Manager sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. SecureSafe Password Manager asks for nothing beyond the download.

SecureSafe Password Manager holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SecureSafe Password Manager has 19K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 72% of SecureSafe Password Manager's written reviews are positive against 75% of Express Password Manager's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
