# Slide ► vs Block Slide

The clearest difference is ads: Slide ► at none against Block Slide's shown. Slide ► also leads on review sentiment (76% vs 43%) and iOS requirement (6.0 vs 15.0). Block Slide's advantage is ratings volume (4.5K vs 29) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Slide ► sells 9 one-off in-app purchases and Block Slide sells 16 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Block Slide holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Block Slide has 4.5K ratings behind it against 29, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 76% of Slide ►'s written reviews are positive against 43% of Block Slide's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Slide ► ships an update every 2 months, Block Slide every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
