# iVideoCamera Lite vs The Frame Camera

The clearest difference is review sentiment: The Frame Camera at 100% against iVideoCamera Lite's 44%. The Frame Camera also leads on update cadence (every 4 months vs every 86 months). iVideoCamera Lite's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.1) and ads (none vs shown). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. iVideoCamera Lite sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and The Frame Camera sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

iVideoCamera Lite holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 6 and 13 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 44% of iVideoCamera Lite's written reviews are positive against 100% of The Frame Camera's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

iVideoCamera Lite ships an update every 86 months, The Frame Camera every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
