# Paperless vs Checklist

The clearest difference is price: Checklist at Free against Paperless's $2.99. Checklist also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 months). Paperless's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 4.0) and review sentiment (92% vs 68%). On ads, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Checklist is free to download; Paperless costs $2.99 up front. Paperless sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Checklist sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Paperless holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Paperless has 494 ratings behind it against 22, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 92% of Paperless's written reviews are positive against 68% of Checklist's.

Paperless ships an update every 2 months, Checklist every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
