# Paperless vs Make

The clearest difference is price: Make at Free against Paperless's $2.99. Make also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.4). Paperless's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (92% vs 71%). On ratings volume, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Make is free to download; Paperless costs $2.99 up front. Paperless sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Make sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Make holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 487 and 198 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 92% of Paperless's written reviews are positive against 71% of Make's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Paperless ships an update every 2 months, Make every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
