# Dice Dice vs Detetive

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Dice Dice at 82% against Detetive's 36%. Dice Dice also leads on rating (4.6 vs 3.5) and ratings volume (30K vs 574). Detetive's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Dice Dice holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dice Dice has 30K ratings behind it against 574, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 82% of Dice Dice's written reviews are positive against 36% of Detetive's.

Dice Dice ships an update every 3 months, Detetive every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
