# BRIGHT vs WPER

The clearest difference is rating: BRIGHT at 5.0 against WPER's 4.5. BRIGHT also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). WPER's advantage is update cadence (every 5 months vs every 21 months). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

BRIGHT holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 19 and 8 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 93% of BRIGHT's written reviews are positive against 100% of WPER's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

BRIGHT ships an update every 21 months, WPER every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
