# Notability vs Vaila

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Vaila at 100% against Notability's 36%. Vaila also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Notability's advantage is ratings volume (458K vs 3) and chart position (#101 vs unranked). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notability sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and Vaila sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Vaila holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Notability has 458K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 36% of Notability's written reviews are positive against 100% of Vaila's.
