# Notability vs Feenote

Notability and Feenote both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 91% of Feenote's written reviews are positive against 36% of Notability's. Feenote also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). Notability's advantage is ratings volume (459K vs 2.1K) and chart position (#101 vs unranked). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notability sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and Feenote sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 3 months. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Notability against 4.8 for Feenote. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Notability has 459K ratings behind it against 2.1K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 36% of Notability's written reviews are positive against 91% of Feenote's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
