# EavesDropper vs Catch A Cheater

The clearest difference is update cadence: Catch A Cheater at every 8 days against EavesDropper's every 75 months. Catch A Cheater also leads on ratings volume (107 vs 6) and review sentiment (48% vs 33%). EavesDropper's advantage is rating (3.8 vs 3.5) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. EavesDropper sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.99 per month and Catch A Cheater sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

EavesDropper holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Catch A Cheater has 107 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of EavesDropper's written reviews are positive against 48% of Catch A Cheater's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

EavesDropper ships an update every 75 months, Catch A Cheater every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
