# Plane Finder ⁃ Flight Tracker vs Air Traffic

The clearest difference is rating: Plane Finder ⁃ Flight Tracker at 4.7 against Air Traffic's 4.1. Plane Finder ⁃ Flight Tracker also leads on ratings volume (61K vs 9) and update cadence (every 10 days vs every 6 weeks). Air Traffic's advantage is review sentiment (80% vs 64%) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Plane Finder ⁃ Flight Tracker sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.49 per month and Air Traffic sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Plane Finder ⁃ Flight Tracker holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Plane Finder ⁃ Flight Tracker has 61K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of Plane Finder ⁃ Flight Tracker's written reviews are positive against 80% of Air Traffic's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Plane Finder ⁃ Flight Tracker ships an update every 10 days, Air Traffic every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
