# SG NextBus vs Singapore Maps

The clearest difference is rating: SG NextBus at 4.5 against Singapore Maps's 2.1. SG NextBus also leads on review sentiment (62% vs 35%) and ratings volume (293 vs 8). Singapore Maps's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 4 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SG NextBus sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Singapore Maps sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
